How do I access this web information?  Log on to SELS website and at the top of the page, you will find a tab for Welch Crew.  Click this tab and all the information for our crew will be listed. Check this link often to keep up on all the latest Crew information.

Upcoming Fieldwork Dates:  We are going to hit the ground running this year with our Expedition.  Our first overnight camping trip will be on September 12 – 13, 2011.  An information packet with all the details will be sent home with students on the first day of school. 

Another fieldwork day is still in the works for a hike through the snowheds and tunnels on Donner Summit.  I am awaiting confirmation from our local expert and will let you know as soon as the information is available.

Permission Slips:  Please sign and return all permission slips as soon as possible.  If you are planning to chaperone any of these trips, you MUST complete the Volunteer Automobile Transportation Form and submit a copy of your current Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance.

Papers to sign the first week of school:
 

  • Railroad fieldwork permission slip
  • Volunteer Automobile Transportation form (with Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance)
  • Basic Field Trip Authorization Form (for local walking fieldwork – no transportation)
  • Agreement contract – once you have read the Family Handbook.  **You can access a copy on this web site.

Other important dates:

  • September 14, Minimum Day:  School dismissed at 1:00 pm
  • September 15, Back-to-School night.  6:00 – 7:30.  Welch Crew information presentation from 6:30 – 7:00 pm.
