Hi all,

Great first couple of weeks. Students are settling in well and expeditions are off to a strong start.

Some information to pass along:

  • Wed, Sept 12 (tomorrow), is a Minimum Day: 6/7 released at 11:45 ; K-5 released at 1

  • STAR results are in; please stop in the office to pick up

  • Announcement: We continue to look for 7th grade students to apply for enrollment/waitlist – please put the word out to any families you might think are interested. To continue our current enrollment numbers, we have decided to add one 2nd and one 3rd grader to the Welch Crew. Due to small group work (which she uses everyday), Diane Welch has long asked for an additional 2 students to even out her small group numbers, thereby facilitating (from her teaching standpoint) a better learning set up.

  • PTC meeting, Monday, Sept 17, at 5 pm in M-2 or M-3

  • Capital Campaign meeting, Tues, Sept 18, at 3:30 pm in M-2 or M-3

  • Picture Day, Sept 27

Needs:

  • We could use some volunteers to help with technology: some equipment needs looking at, some software needs installation, and we often need consulting help on tech issues. Please let me know if I can put you on a Tech Group list which we can contact when needed.

  • We could also use a couple more people to join our Maintenance Group. Again, this group is “on-call” for problems that arise or equipment which needs assembly.

Big Thank You to all those helping with fieldwork, helping out teachers, and having your children prepared to be great learners. We all appreciate it immensely.
