Hi all,

Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful (spring?) weather. Maybe February will bring some snow. Everything here is moving along nicely.

Many thanks for the reduction in tardies. This really helps reduce classroom disruption and provides all students the same learning opportunities.

Tiffany Connolly, one of our Reading Specialists, is available for tutoring services before or after school. If interested, please contact her directly at tconnolly@truckeecharterschool.org or 760-277-7664

Our Friday Electives Program is looking for volunteers available to facilitate an elective, on Fridays from 12:45-2 pm. The next block runs from Feb 14 – March 21 (no school on Feb 21). If interested, please let Jenn Skaff know by the end of next week at the latest. jskaff@truckeecharterschool.org or 448-8115.

Information from TTUSD: at the Jan 22 board meeting, Rob Leri will be presenting the Facilities Plan. If you can’t make this, he will also overview the Plan on Feb 4 at 6 pm at ACMS.

SPIRIT WEAR

If you did not pay for or order a field work t-shirt for your student, here is your last chance before we put in the order this Friday. Please turn in your form with payment to the PTC in-box in the office. If you cannot afford the t-shirt right now, please still fill out a form for your student with his/her name and size of t-shirt desired. The PTC will cover costs for the remaining students. The idea is for every SELS student to have a shirt to wear on fieldwork. Thanks for your assistance in making this happen. Please turn in those forms!

Multiple SELS families can attest that these labels are great for keeping track of clothes and lunch items. In addition, your students can customize the stickers/labels. They stay on through the dishwasher and laundry. This is also a no cost fundraising effort.

SELS-ebration! FAMILY DANCE SOCK HOP

Friday, February 7th, 2013 6pm-8pm

Kick off the Valentine’s season by attending the family dance at the SELS gym. This dance will be socks only and shoes left in the hallway. Families outside of SELS are welcome and encouraged to attend. Spread the word and bring your friends! Enjoy teaching your sons and daughters a few things about dancing! Admission is $5 per person or $15 per family. Please bring your water bottles. Pizza slices and baked goods will be available for sale. We need volunteers to decorate, clean up and work the event. Sign up sheet coming soon.

The PTC is looking for new members! Please consider attending our next meeting, on February 10th at 5:30pm. We value your input! If you can not attend the meeting, please email your ideas and suggestions to ptc@truckeecharterschool.org . Come help enrich our school community!

Espero que todo el mundo está disfrutando de la hermosa ( primavera? ) Tiempo . Quizás febrero traerá un poco de nieve . Todo lo que aquí se está moviendo a lo largo muy bien .

SELS – bración ! BAILE FAMILIAR salto del calcetín

Quítese la temporada de San Valentín , asistiendo al baile familiar en el gimnasio SELS . Este baile será sólo calcetines y zapatos dejados en el pasillo. Familias fuera de SELS son bienvenidos y animados a asistir . Corre la voz y trae a tus amigos! Disfrute de la enseñanza de sus hijos e hijas unas cuantas cosas sobre el baile ! La entrada cuesta $ 5 por persona o $ 15 por familia. Por favor traigan sus botellas de agua. Porciones de pizza y productos horneados estarán disponibles para la venta. Necesitamos voluntarios para decorar , limpiar y trabajar el evento. Inscríbete hoja próximamente .
