Crew Update,
Wow what a great trip to Grouse Ridge. I first want to thank the chaperones that drove and helped out during the trip. Matt, Dawn, Rob, Chad, Sarah, and Crescent, you guys were fantastic, thank you for all of your help. I also want to thank Ashley and everyone that helped with the planning and organization/cooking of the food.
This trip was full of adventure, some highlights include:
– perfect weather, including mild temperatures at night
– 21 total bee stings (of course Mr. Williams had the worst reaction, my arm is almost back to normal size today)
– many pairs of wet shoes
– immaculate forest shelters, complete with chandeliers
– a beautiful sunset/debrief (picture attached)
– many successes and failures during the scavenger hunt
– lots of college football banter
– and of course real world application of all of the navigation and mapping skills the students have practiced during the first month of school.
I uploaded all of the photos, and they can be viewed on the crew website.
