Crew News:
It has been a busy couple of weeks complete with swimming, 3rd grade state testing, expedition experiments and more! Our crew has been very flexible with the changes in schedule and rolling with the flow. Swimming will continue through May 23rd, otherwise our schedule is back to normal.

Volunteers- Thank you to our mom and dad swimming chaperones! You help make this outing smooth and easy. Also, thanks to Sonja Martin, Shauna Ronzone, Maria Snideman, Stacey Carr, and Kirsten Pakarek for joining us for the Aces game! We had a ball!

Upcoming FW- We’re still looking for drivers to see Bye Bye Birdie on Wednesday, May 25. Please visit sign-up. Learn more: Bye Bye Birdie

Thanks to all who have signed up for the Spring Adventure Campout! We’re still looking for a food coordinator. Please visit Campout Jobs if you haven’t already. In your child’s Homework Folder you will see a green packet with important info for the campout. We decided to send it early to ensure plenty of time for families’ to review. Please note that we will be camping on Tuesday, May 31, the day we return to school from Memorial Day. Packing in advance may be best depending on your family plans for the long weekend.

Math: We can tell your children have been practicing their basic facts, keep it up! Whether you’re a second grade parent supporting your child with addition and subtraction facts, or a third grade parent supporting your child with basic multiplication facts, we appreciate the support and encouragement you provide your child. As a reminder, if you are looking for extra at-home practice please use your child’s Front Row account for just right math practice.

Book Bags: At this point in the school year, we will let your child choose the reading strategy for their book bag response. Keep up the good work and we hope you are enjoying the creative activity as well!

Goals: While we take time to reflect on students goals from goal setting conferences in class, be sure you are taking the time to review your child’s goals with him or her as well. Our hope is for everyone to accomplish their spring goals by the end of the year, and with enough effort we know they can do it!

Great Skate: Please remember to sell raffle tickets for the Great Skate! So far, we have only had two children turn in their envelopes… Let’s win that pizza party!
