Justine Minczeski
Elementary Intervention Specialist
Justine is fortunate to have been raised in the mountains of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and to
now live in Truckee where the beauty of the mountains, and endless outdoor activities, feed
her need for an active life-style. Her undergraduate and graduate studies in education and
psychology have enabled her to look at teaching and education from various perspectives and
to decide how best to reach each child in the most meaningful and beneficial manner. Justine’s
teaching career began in 2007 in Boulder, Colorado at a project-based learning school. Having
been raised by two teachers, Justine has been imbued with the power of teaching and its
impact not only on the individual, but on society as well. Her goal is to provide each learner
with experiences and approaches that will lead to a life-long love of learning. She believes
hands-on exploration, coupled with critical thinking and questioning push student learning and
confidence to new levels. Justine has been teaching at SELS since 2013, and feels grateful to be
a part of such a close community of educators and learners, and a school that resonates to her
core. When not working with SELS students, Justine can be found enjoying the outdoors with
her family.
