Great News – the Sierra Expeditionary Learning Charter School has been approved!
The Tahoe Truckee Unified School District Board voted unanimously on March 3rd to approve the charter petition of Sierra Expeditionary Learning School (SELS). The school will open in Truckee in the fall of 2010, initially serving 63 students in grades kindergarten through 5th and growing over three years to serve 132 students in kindergarten through 8th grades.
We plan to open in Fall 2010 and are holding Family Information Nights for interested parents and students to learn more about the school and its curriculum. Attendance by at least 1 parent is a mandatory requirement for enrollment.
