Friendly Letters:  WOW!  Our crew has completed writing a friendly letter to an imaginary family member in China from the viewpoint of a Chinese Railroad worker.  I am very impressed to see all the great information your child included in the body of the letter.
Question of the Week:  What hardships did the Chinese face while building the Central Pacific Railroad that you included in you friendly letter?

Upcoming Fieldwork:  I am in the process of confirming a trip to the Truckee Donner Historical Society to help students learn about the economic impacts of the Central Pacific Railroad.  We will be taking a closer look at the logging industry, the ice industry, and tourism.  I will let you know as soon as I have secured a date and time for this fieldwork.
