Thanks to all participants in last nights Board Workshop on school configuration; lots of good ideas shared and discussed. Based on the workshop and additional information from research and other schools, staff will develop a recommendation to be presented at the Feb 6 Board Meeting. Please come to that meeting if interested as there will be an opportunity for public comment.
Chorus starts today for grades 3-6 and on Thursday for K-2. Please make sure you arrive on time at 4:30 to pick up your children.
In a very generous gesture, we received a $4000 donation from the David and Catherine D. Marsten Fund of the Community Foundation Sonoma County. Donations of this type are very helpful in providing our students with field experiences and curriculum/materials for expeditions.
We are also the recipient of organizing the fundraising portion of the Rotary Crab Feed to be held on March 24. This is a live auction where we supply the auction items and help with the Feed. This has potential to be a big fundraiser for us and we need lots of help to make it successful. If interested in helping, please contact Erica Stein (erica@grizzlylodge.com) or Arthur Rader (arthurrader@gmail.com) as soon as possible.
** Last year’s families: if you recall, many/most of you decorated tiles for our inaugural year “tile project” (you may have seen the nearly completed tile board at our Gratitude Dinner). There remain, however, 4 open tiles we would like finished. If you did not do one last year (or for some reason you were unable to find yours on the board) and would like to complete a tile, please let me know this week. I will set up the first four families to respond. Ideally, we would like to have this completed over the next two weeks so we can complete the tile board and hang it on campus.
Cheers, David
