Hi,

Some excitement around here yesterday. I want to assure everyone that staff handled the situation very well and all children were safe throughout.

Information to share:

  • Mr Krusi-Thom, Ms McMains, and I will be in Denver at the Expeditionary Learning National Conference from Wed-Fri this week. Mr Williams (or “Red” as he is more affectionately called) will be holding down the office. Please use the office phone (448-8115) for contact, unless an emergency and then he can be reached at 541-968-9537.

  • Next week we begin STAR testing. Test times will be mornings and dates are tentatively set for Tues-Thur, and the following week Mon, Wed-Thur. Please make sure your children are well-rested and on-time for school.

  • Contractor help: we ordered a shed for more storage, but it needs to be assembled. I know we have some excellent builders out there with nothing better to do 🙂 than put together a shed. You supply the labor, I’ll supply the refreshments. Please contact me if interested.

  • Enrollment is going well and is almost complete. Thanks to all those who helped make this a successful recruiting year.

  • We are in the process of hiring new teachers and will let you know once that is complete.

  • Fieldwork season is here and in full swing. Please help out when you are able; crews are often in need of drivers and organizers. Thanks.
