Hi all,

Information Meetings in full swing and going well. Thanks to those coming in to help. While we have few openings in grades other than Kindergarten, please let any interested friends know to put in an application as spaces often open up, especially in middle school.

TTUSD will be voting on (approving 🙂 our charter on March 19 at their Board Meeting in Tahoe City (at Tahoe Lake Elem). According to their agenda, looks like the vote will happen soon after they start at 5:30 pm. If anyone is in that area and would like to show up for support, that would be great.

Job openings for 2014-15: we are sad to announce we have a couple staff leaving us at the end of this year. Lindsay Hall, our 8th grade teacher, was recently engaged and is moving to Montana; Alexis Prochko, our PE teacher, is re-focusing her career. So, we are hiring these two positions plus and Admin/Teacher Support position. Please send any interested people to our website for the official postings.

T-shirt Contest: The Truckee Tahoe AirShow & Family Festival (TTAS&FF) is looking for a design to highlight on its 2014 commemorative TTAS&FF T-Shirt. T-Shirts are sold at the event, and all proceeds go to Truckee North Tahoe Youth.The winner receives $500 and will be featured in news announcements.

Friday, March 21st is the SELS Sock Hop Family Dance in the old middle school gym from 6pm-8pm. Cost is $5 per person or $15 per family. We could use a few more Set Up volunteers.

MOM’s NIGHT OUT
Thursday April 17th 5:45PM at The Rock. SELS PTC will be hosting a ‘Mom’s Night Out’. A perfect opportunity to treat yourself, beginning at 5:45 with Yoga and moving on to 50/50 for fun, food, and drinks. This is a great opportunity to support our Parent Teacher Crew and enjoy a fun night out with friends. Yoga will take place at a suite TBD in The Rock.  $40 for both Yoga and 50/50. Included in the price is 1 1/2 hours of yoga taught by Nikki Dean, followed by a variety of tasty appetizers, as well as 2 drink tickets good for wine, beer, or well cocktails at 50/50. If you are able to attend only one part of the evening, cost will be adjusted. Treat yourself and give back to our amazing school at the same time. We look forward to seeing you.

YET TO BE NAMED SIGNATURE EVENT KICK OFF MEETING

Be on the ground floor of the first annual SELS Signature Event. First meeting is Tuesday, April 8th at 12:30pm. Location TBD, but trying for a meeting space in the Admin Building next to SELS. The format is an all-district roller skating party at Northstar to celebrate the end of the year. We need you!

    Reuniones informativas en plena marcha y va bien . Gracias a los que vienen a ayudar.     Jueves 17 de abril 17:45 a The Rock. SELS PTC será el anfitrión de un ” Night Out de mamá ‘ . Una oportunidad perfecta para darse un capricho , a partir de las 05:45 con el yoga y pasar a 50/50 para la diversión , comida y bebidas. Esta es una gran oportunidad para apoyar a nuestro Padre Crew Maestro y disfrutar de una noche de diversión con los amigos.
